University of Porto and Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation signed a funding agreement on December 16, worth €1.5 million, to develop innovative systems for producing green fuels onboard small vessels.

The project “GREENSHIP_E – Electrification of ships with eco-friendly fuels and advanced technologies”, coordinated by Alexandra Rodrigues Pinto, a faculty member at DEQB and researcher at CEFT/ALiCE, involves an interdisciplinary team of scientists from four R&D units at FEUP (CEFT, LEPABE, and LSRE-LCM, which constitute the ALiCE associate laboratory), as well as SYSTEC and INESC-TEC.
