Chemical Engineering from the University of Porto (U.Porto) is among the top 200 in the world on the Shanghai Ranking’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2023. At European level, Chemical Engineering from U.Porto appears in the TOP 30 and in the 1st position at national level, ex aequo with the University of Aveiro.
This year edition has evaluated institutions from 104 countries in 55 study areas. Among the criteria being analyzed in the Shanghai Ranking 2023 are the quality of the research, the works published in high impact magazines and the number of citations (based on the Web of Science and InCites database). International collaboration and academic awards attributed to the teaching and research staff were also valued.
