Margarida Brito, researcher from the Laboratory of Separation and Reaction Processes – Laboratory of Catalysis and Materials (LSRE-LCM), integrated in the Associate Laboratory in Chemical Engineering (ALiCE) of the Department of Chemical Engineering of FEUP, was recently distinguished with the Young Researcher Award in Mixing 2023 by the European Federation of Chemical Engineering.

The nomination came from the research work carried out at LSRE-LCM that focused on a computational and experimental study of mixing mechanisms in static reactors, namely opposed jet reactors, rotational devices and non-inertial mixers.

The Young Investigator Award was established in 2000 to recognize the work of a young early career researcher who demonstrates an outstanding contribution to research in the area of mixing
