Chemical Engineering from the University of Porto (U.Porto) is again among the top 100 in the world on the Shanghai Ranking’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2021. At European level, Chemical Engineering from U.Porto appears in the TOP 15 and in the 1st position at national level.
This year edition has evaluated more than 4000 institutions from 93 countries in 54 study areas. Among the criteria being analyzed in the Shanghai Ranking 2021 are the quality of the research, the works published in high impact magazines and the number of citations (based on the Web of Science and InCites database). International collaboration and academic awards attributed to the teaching and research staff were also valued.
