DEQ PhD student joins editorial board of international journal

Pedro Velho, student of the PhD Program in Chemical and Biological Engineering of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP), has just been chosen to join one of the editorial boards of the Journal of Chemical & Engineering Data (JCED), being the only European and non-PhD appointed to the bodies of that prestigious international journal, published by the American Chemical Society.

The appointment aims at integrating Pedro Velho in the JCED’s Early Career Board, a council composed of early career researchers, whose mission is to assist the journal’s main editorial. The aim is to keep the working group at the forefront of this research area and serve the thermophysical properties community.
