The Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP) has been ranked 33rd among the best engineering schools in Europe, according to the list released by the European Ranking of Engineering Programmes (EngiRank), in the second edition of the ranking promoted by the Polish institution ‘Perspektywy’ Education Foundation.

The result of an analysis of the performance of engineering schools or those with a strong teaching and research component in this field, Engirank 2024 brings together 184 educational institutions spread across the European Union, Switzerland and Norway.

In the field of evaluation by scientific area, Chemical Engineering at FEUP is in 39th place in the list of 100 educational institutions analysed in this area, while Environmental Engineering is in 35th place out of 105 institutions evaluated. In this evaluation parameter, EngiRank focuses mainly on three criteria: Research (64%), Innovation (26%) and Teaching Quality (10%) in the disciplines evaluated.
