PROFESSOR JOSÉ LUÍS FIGUEIREDO ELECTED EFFECTIVE MEMBER OF THE ACADEMY OF SCIENCES OF LISBON

Professor José Luís Figueiredo, Emeritus Professor at DEQ and member of ALiCE and LSRE-LCM, was elected effective member of the 3^rd section – Chemistry of the Science Class of the Academy of Sciences of Lisbon (ACL – Academia de Ciências de Lisboa), in the plenary session of Effective Members of the Science Class, held on May 25, 2023.

ACL is one of the oldest national scientific institutions in continuous existence. Founded in 1779, ACL maintains uninterrupted activities for the promotion, dissemination and sharing of knowledge in the fields of science and humanities. It conserves and enhances the rich heritage in its custody, making its collections available for open access. Its mission includes independent scientific advice on crucial matters for the country’s development.
