Adrián Silva (assistant professor at DEQ and member of LSRE-LCM), Manuel Simões (associate professor at DEQ and member of LEPABE) and Ana Rita Ribeiro (researcher at LSRE-LCM), are part of the 2021 edition of the “Highly Cited Researchers”, an initiative of Clarivate Analytics – a North American company specialized in scientific information management – which recognizes, annually, the most influential scientists worldwide, based on the number of citations of their publications by their peers.
This list of scientists highlights a total of 6602 researchers from 70 countries and 21 research areas, referenced in the Web of Science repository, the world’s largest indexer of scientific information. The final selection corresponds to the percentage point of researchers who are at the top of the most cited – between January 2010 and December 2020 – in different theses, monographs, essays or theories developed in different universities and laboratories worldwide.
