Adélio Mendes, full professor at DEQB and senior researcher at LEPABE, a research unit of the associated laboratory ALICE, has been invited to join the CNCTI – National Council for Science, Technology and Innovation.

The CNCTI is an advisory body to the government on matters of science, technology and innovation, which works alongside the members of the government responsible for the areas of the economy and science and technology. The CNCTI is responsible for collaborating in the development and support of the national scientific and technological system, the internationalisation of Portuguese science and the promotion of Portuguese as a working language in science, ensuring scientific advice and promoting the transversal and inter-ministerial articulation of science and technology policies.
