{"id":7113,"date":"2022-01-31T12:36:26","date_gmt":"2022-01-31T12:36:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/deq.fe.up.pt\/en\/?p=7113"},"modified":"2024-01-24T12:49:44","modified_gmt":"2024-01-24T12:49:44","slug":"deq-highlighted-at-feup-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deq.fe.up.pt\/en\/deq-highlighted-at-feup-day\/","title":{"rendered":"DEQ highlighted at FEUP day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On January 28, took place another edition of <em>&#8216;Dia da FEUP&#8217;<\/em>, an event held annually in January with the objective of recognizing and valuing the success of the members of the Community who stood out the most in the previous year.<\/p>\n<p>In this year&#8217;s edition, the DEQ was highlighted when two of its teachers were awarded the Excellence prizes. <strong>Professor Francisco Xavier Malcata<\/strong> won the <strong>Pedagogical Excellence Award<\/strong>, while <strong>Professor Lu\u00eds Miguel Madeira<\/strong> won the <strong>Scientific Excellence Award<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Also of note was the 1st Edition of the <strong>Recognition Award &#8220;Distinguished Engineering in Female&#8221;<\/strong>, with the objective of promoting gender equality and recognising the contribution of female Engineering graduates in different areas.
